OUR ORGANISATION
CONNECTED OCEANS is a young non-profit organisation, created in February 2026 by Carole Saout-Grit.
Our global initiative aims to connect people with oceanography and marine sciences, in order to act all around the world for oceans protection following scientific recommendations.
The oceans of our blue planet
are the founders of our association.

Carole Saout-Grit
Physical oceanographer
Carole Saout-Grit has been a research engineer in physical oceanography since 1998.
After working in public laboratories for more than 10 years, she has been working as a freelance oceanographer since 2008. In this capacity, she is involved in specialised scientific activities in physical oceanography to support scientific research, as well as numerous initiatives to communicate and popularise marine science to the general public.
Carole has solid scientific expertise and a thorough knowledge of projects and the international oceanographic community. She is also a true ambassador for women in science.

We want to build a scientific committee from all the disciplines in marine sciences to affirm our role of scientific media for the oceans and develop more and more actions for ocean literacy.
